Slay The Foundation:

While it may be tempting to just smooth it on with your fingers, using a proper foundation sponge or brush is important. Using your fingers adds unnecessary oils and dirt to your just-cleaned skin. Make sure you choose a foundation color that properly matches with your skin tone, and blend it into your jawline so you don’t look as though you’re wearing a mask. It’s also important to apply foundation in natural light, since artificial lighting can be misleading. You don’t want to get ready for a big date only to walk outside and realize you look like a clown!

Give Sultry Eyes:

While simple is key, a date night is the perfect excuse to try out your own version of the ‘smoky eye’. For a more natural version of this popular look, try using shades of taupe and brown instead of black and gray. Start with a light colored shadow on the inner corners of the eyes, and gradually transition to a darker color on the outer corners - ensuring that the shadow is properly blended at the edges to avoid any harsh corners.
